Help Us Bring Embrace the Beats to Bunbury

After the incredible success of Embrace the Beats in Busselton, we are beginning to explore what an Embrace the Beats event could look like in Bunbury.

But we do not want to plan it alone.

The secret to creating a successful inclusive event is involving people from the beginning. We want people with disability, community members, local organisations, supporters, artists, and anyone passionate about inclusive events to help shape the idea.

What music should we have? What activities would people enjoy? What would make the event feel accessible, safe, welcoming, and fun? Should it be a disco, a festival, a summer celebration, or a combination of different ideas?

These are decisions that should be led by the people who may attend.

We will begin these conversations at the D Connect Southwest Combined event at Gather & Co on Friday, 24 July 2026. This event will bring people from across the South West together to connect, meet community mentors, share ideas, and help plan future activities.

There will be opportunities throughout the morning to vote on ideas and tell us what you would like Embrace the Beats Bunbury to become.

You do not need event planning experience. You only need a willingness to share your ideas.
