Explore the Access Trail
Explore the Access Trail and Celebrate Inclusive Bunbury for International Day of People with Disability
The City of Bunbury is celebrating International Day of People with Disability with a community wide Access Trail that highlights the great accessibility work already happening across our city. The trail brings together local businesses, community venues, Advocacy WA, APM Communities, and the City of Bunbury to show how practical changes can support people with diverse access needs.
The Access Trail is designed to help community members explore Bunbury and learn about the different accessibility features that already exist across a range of locations. Each stop on the trail has taken meaningful steps to support people with disability, such as step free entry, clearer signs, calmer sensory spaces, or staff who communicate in different ways. These places are part of the trail because they believe in creating welcoming environments and are committed to continuing their work to improve access for all people.
Trail maps and activity bags are available from the City of Bunbury Customer Service Centre. Each bag includes a bingo style activity sheet that encourages people to visit the locations, discover their access features, and learn more about inclusion in action.

Thank you to our partners and participating businesses
This project has been made possible thanks to the City of Bunbury, Advocacy WA, and APM Communities. We also acknowledge the generous support of local businesses involved in the trail. Brain Spice, Beyond Toyworld, HOYTS Bunbury, Sabotage, Froth Brewery, and the Dolphin Discovery Centre have not only committed to making accessibility part of their everyday practice, they have also donated prizes that will be given away in the community draw.
Celebrate inclusion across our community
The Access Trail is a reminder that small changes in design, communication, and attitudes can make a big difference. By learning about the access features at each stop, community members can see how Bunbury is continuing to move toward becoming a more inclusive and welcoming city.
We invite everyone to collect a bag, explore the trail, and celebrate access in action for International Day of People with Disability.
