Celebrating Inclusion with Good Day Sunshine

A Big Thank You from the D-Connect and All Access Events Team

A huge shout-out to the incredible Good Day Sunshine Festival team!
Not only do they put on one of the best music festivals in the South West, but they’re also leading the way in making events more welcoming and inclusive. 💛

This year, Good Day Sunshine partnered with Advocacy WA through our All Access Events initiative, part of our D-Connect program.

Rather than just ticking off an accessibility checklist, this project brings accessibility to life.
People with disability attend the event, explore every aspect of the experience, and provide honest, on-the-ground feedback. Together, we create a strengths-based report that highlights what’s working well and where improvements can make an even bigger difference.

It’s practical, positive, and a game-changer for event organisers who want to make their spaces truly inclusive.

Why Accessible Events Matter

When events are designed with accessibility in mind, everyone benefits.
Inclusive spaces mean more people can take part, connect, and contribute, families, friends, and whole communities get to share the joy together.

Creating accessible and inclusive events isn’t just about compliance, it’s about belonging, connection, and celebrating the diversity that makes our communities so vibrant.
