Crafty Corner
Crafty Corner is a creative group where people can slow down, get crafty, and connect with others in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Whether you love crafting or have never picked up a paintbrush before, you are welcome here.
What is Crafty Corner?
Crafty Corner is a regular drop in crafting session designed for adults who want a calm, friendly space to create and connect.
You can bring your own craft project or join in with simple, optional activities provided on the day. There is no set outcome, no expectations, and no need to keep up with anyone else. The focus is on enjoying the process and spending time together.
Crafty Corner recognises that creativity can be a powerful tool for wellbeing, confidence, and connection.
What to expect
Each session is designed to feel easy to join and comfortable to stay in. You can expect
• A relaxed, adult only environment
• Space to work at your own pace
• Optional guided craft activities
• A welcoming group culture
• Time to chat or enjoy quiet creative focus
You are welcome to take breaks, come and go as needed, or simply sit and observe until you feel comfortable joining in.
Who is Crafty Corner for?
Crafty Corner is for
• Adults with disability looking for a low pressure social space
• People who enjoy creative activities or want to try something new
• Anyone who benefits from calm, structured environments
• Community members who want to connect through creativity
You do not need to be artistic. You do not need experience. You just need curiosity and a willingness to show up.
Why Crafty Corner matters
Many people face barriers to social spaces that feel busy, loud, or overwhelming. Crafty Corner offers an alternative, a space where connection happens naturally through shared activity, conversation, or quiet companionship.
By creating a consistent, welcoming creative space, Crafty Corner supports mental wellbeing, reduces isolation, and helps people build confidence and friendships at their own pace.
Part of the D-Connect Circles
Crafty Corner is one of the D-Connect Circles, a network of community led groups supported by Advocacy WA. Each Circle reflects the interests of the people who attend, while contributing to a shared vision of inclusive, accessible communities across the South West.
Join the circle
You are welcome to come along, bring a project, or simply see if Crafty Corner feels right for you.
