Bringing Rights, Respect, and Real-World Learning Across the South West

In the first half of 2025, the Your Rights, Your Supports, Your Service Roadshow has taken us from Bunbury to Busselton, Collie to Donnybrook and everywhere in between. Along the way, we’ve met so many people with disability, families, support workers, and providers who’ve shared their experiences, questions, and hopes for a more inclusive future.

We’ve seen incredible moments of learning and connection from people discovering their rights for the first time, to support workers having “lightbulb” moments about what dignity and respect really look like in everyday practice. One participant told us, “I finally understand that speaking up isn’t complaining, it’s protecting my rights.” Those words have stayed with us.

But our journey isn’t done yet. After spending the first half of the year travelling across the region, the Roadshow is back for the second half of 2025 with new towns, new activities, and even more opportunities to learn, share, and grow together.

These workshops are all about building confidence, knowledge, and practical skills to help people with disability, their families, and supporters better understand their rights, recognise quality supports, and speak up when something doesn’t feel right.

We know how vital this information is  especially for regional towns where access to training and advocacy can be limited. That’s why our team is travelling far and wide to deliver these sessions in person, creating inclusive spaces where everyone can learn, share, and connect.

And while the topics we cover are serious, the day itself is anything but dull. Each Roadshow event is hands-on, interactive, and designed to be as engaging as it is informative. You’ll find activities, open discussions, real examples, and practical take-home tools you can use straight away  all in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Need a break? There’s a chill-out zone, plenty of snacks, and friendly faces everywhere. You can stay for the whole day or just drop in for the sessions that suit you best.

We’re deeply grateful to be able to bring this project to life with the support of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission under the GO6984 Knowledge and Skill Development Grant.

The 2025 Roadshow might be wrapping up in December, but don’t worry  we’ll be back in 2026 with even more sessions, new tools, and fresh conversations.

Because when it comes to rights, learning, and inclusion  there’s always more to explore, and everyone has a role to play.
