Embrace Expo Series: Supporting Self-Advocacy Across the South West

The Embrace Expo Series, created by Workforce Australia Local Jobs – South West WA, is bringing opportunity and connection to communities across the region — with events in Bunbury, Harvey, Collie, Busselton, and Bridgetown.

Each expo recognises that everyone is at a different stage in their job-seeking journey. Whether you’re exploring your options, looking for training, ready to find a job, or wanting to connect with local supports, there’s something for everyone.

The expos bring together a wide range of employers, training organisations, community groups, and government departments, all focused on helping people take their next step with confidence.

Advocacy WA at the Expos

Advocacy WA has been proudly attending each Embrace Expo, bringing along self-advocacy tips and a fun bingo card activity designed to help people get the most out of their day.

Our bingo card is more than a game, it’s a practical way to build confidence, start conversations, and practice self-advocacy skills while exploring what the expos have to offer.

We know that self-advocacy is a key part of finding meaningful work. Being able to speak up about your strengths, preferences, and support needs can make all the difference when connecting with employers or training providers.

Keep Building Your Confidence

If you’d like to build your self-advocacy skills, especially when it comes to work and employment, you can join our free online mini workshop.
