Advocacy WA is heading to Brunswick to deliver free, interactive workshops for people with disability, their support networks, and the wider community.
These sessions are all about understanding your rights, recognising quality support, and building the skills to speak up when something doesn’t feel right. Whether you're a service provider, family member, support worker, or a person with lived experience these workshops are for you.
Ensuring Safe, Quality and Collaborative Services
For NDIS providers, frontline workers, and community organisations
This professional development session is for those working in or alongside NDIS services. Led by Sarah Pepper, Quality and Safeguards Manager at Enable WA, it provides practical tools for embedding rights in service delivery, understanding and navigating the Practice Standards, and managing complaints and restrictive practices in line with best practice.
Self-Advocacy Workshop
For people with disability, young people, and peer mentors
This workshop supports people with disability to feel confident using their voice—whether that means asking questions, making decisions, or speaking up when something isn’t right. It’s designed to build everyday skills that empower people to advocate for themselves with clarity and confidence.
Your rights, Your supports, Your services
For people with disability, families, carers, and informal supporters
This session focuses on what good, respectful support should look like and how to recognise when it’s not happening. We explore topics like restrictive practices, supported decision-making, and how to speak up safely and effectively when something feels wrong.
Some people attend just one. Others stay for the full day. The choice is yours.
If you’re unsure which session is right for you or your team, we’re more than happy to help.
